A sad day indeed . I'm sure you will miss your FFRR . Like I do my Holden Overlander. Hope you pointed the new owners to this forum if their not already on here.

Hope you come back one day with a newer L322 or even an L405

Not at the moment, I've still got plenty of other Land Rovers.

Thanks, I'm not going anywhere. The new owner does know about this site, of course it will up to them if they pop up here and say hello.

    G`day .

Gav was good enough to offer his L322 to us and because it was the best one that i had come across and we`ve been looking for at least 18 mths probably 2 yrs , there really was very little choice for us .

We payed the price Gav wanted but i think we may have got the better part of the deal , mostly because a vehicle that has a history like his is i consider pretty much priceless .

I`ve read that people think the diesel is under powered , i don`t know what they are expecting from a 4 wheel drive vehicle of this size but i was listening to the speed alert regularly going off and thinking that i`d better get used to the vehicle quick smart .

On the way home there are 2 climbs that our other RRCs are very aware of , i was expecting at least a down change or having to depress the pedal a large amount but neither were required .

We`ve had V8 RRs for over 20 yrs but the Growl of the straight 6 diesel is something else and may require music inside the cabin at all times .

Although it was a fairly long day with a 6am start and bus and train and even with a side track of city traffic to visit our daughter and the 215 odd km between our place and Gavs , which requires crossing from one side of the city to the other , the last part of the drive was almost refreshing , we got home around 11pm .

Thanks for selling us your car Gav , we tend to keep them a long time so it will be cared for .

    Cheers
    Peter

    Hi Peter

Welcome to the world of TD6 ownership. I'm sure you will love Gav's car. They have an awesome motor even in standard tune.

    Enjoy & drive

Probably should have mentioned that the Rover V8's in the RRC's are no match for the TD6 in the torque stakes - there isn't a hill I've found that it couldn't sail over at whatever speed chosen. And it won't ruin your bank account with its fuel bill either.

Glad its found a home with a fellow Range River lover.

    Enjoy it.
