    Greg,

I'm seriously thinking of doing at least most of the trip with you and so is my son in his D1 if that is OK. If there are too many I might do it separately on a different date but it would be good to do it in a Land Rover convoy! It gets harder and harder to find good camp sites and refuel etc if the convoy gets too big but it is all good fun.

Was the road to Cape Levique as much bitumen as you thought? I thought it was all corrugated red sand.

Put us on your list and PM or email closer to the time when you are firming up on dates and itinerary so that we can organize leave etc. We have done part of it in a rushed sort of way (Meekatharra area to Degray River crossing on the main road via Marble Bar and Shay Gap in one day) and are looking for a more relaxed trip like yours for next year.

No rules Bob, we're just going to map out a rough plan and if people want to tag along for all or only part, that's fine. Will have a better idea of dates by the end of the year, but I'm looking at the end of June for at least a month.
