I'll post some more pics when I get her out of town on a long, straight road in the dark, with no extraneous light pollution...but oh, man, even in the garage under the office, the new things are blinding. It'll be interesting to see how much side spread they provide, and whether I'll still want an LED light bar.
Low beam compared with the new high bream. There's still some adjustment to do, 6 feet back from the brick wall, the centre of the left side beam seems to be sitting about 3 inches higher than the right side.

SupporterNanoseconds. Pretty much instantaneous. You wouldn't pick any delay worth spitting on to be honest. I'd heard they took a second or two to crank up, but not with these.

They probably could be DIY, but the instructions are in mangled Chinglish, and to honest, I couldn't be bothered.
I took 'em down to my local Auto-Spark and the guys fitted them in a couple of hours. They loaned me an old chook chaser so I could go back to the office.

Did you go 6000k or 4300k? I prefer warm but have heard the output's a little reduced compared to the 6000.
I really need to do this, nearly collected 2 skippies on the way back from QLD, both only seen at the last minute.

SupporterI think mine are the 6000K - they're Guess Whose Mum's Got a Whirlpool white, so I think that's the higher kelvin number, isn't it?

I'm pleased that you gave it a go although you went top notch rather than just a cheapie. Mine certainly have a delay if cool which can take 3-4 seconds to gain full brightness.
