Looking at another tomorrow private sale
My Cherry parts on my 03 HSE were definately real wood. As I said, there are some aftermarket plastic bits around. I've refinished one of the dash ends on my old one - wood all the way. Not sure what finish you have though. There is a small amount of epoxy where they are bent at the corners. The wood is overlaid over a plastic panel underlay.

Did a 100kms round trip to have a look at another HSE, the guy wanted 27K for 185kms on clock. Arrived at property and it was a horse agistment, not far from the Rangie was a horse float. Owner told me he had never had the Auto serviced. Hmm heavy towing and no auto service. the Vehicle was very dirty, quite a few scratches in the paint work, I would have thought if your selling a car a good wash and detail would be in order for that sort money.
I opened the door and there was a strong smell of cigarettes being a non smoker it immediately turns me off cars. I don't care how well they are detailed I've always found smoke smell is always there.
I opened the bonnet and the engine was covered in dust and there were cobwebs in the panels. Ist impressions are lasting. Owner asked if I would like him to start the engine. That's when I politely told him this was not the vehicle for me.
The vibes weren't there saying buy me.
I did a Redbook check on prices on 2003 HSE L322s Diesels.
Valuation Prices
*Private Price Guide $15,900 - $18,800 *Trade In Price Guide $10,700 - $13,600 *Average Km 195,000 - 325,000 *Price When New $119,900* Price Guide (EGC)
Oh Well I'll keep looking
I looked for 18 months, glad I didn't buy the first thing I saw.
Take your time & don't rush it. I wanted a specific interior (walnut & biscuit leather), couldn't stand the grey-on-grey interior that the cheap ones had.

G`day ,
the above is at Grays , the Cranbourne side of Dandenong , i know nothing of it , just saw it on the net .
When i did a History and PPSR check part of the info is " similar sales " but it doesn`t actually say diesel or petrol .
100,000km $10,500 .
121,000km $10,000 .
144,000km $29,990 .
197,000km $25.990 .
There are more but i would think the 2 lower would be private the 2 higher would be dealer and these are 2003 HSE .
In my experience , price and condition have little to do with anything at a dealer unless they are the type like Ritters and Deacon which both know the vehicles .
The average dealer knows the dollars they think they can get , the car has little to do with it .
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Same as Gav, I took six months. It gave me a feel for prices, quality and what my priorities were for a vehicle. Service history and how well the vehicle looked to be cared fir were at the top.
