What they ask and what they get are 2 different things. For the V8 with those KM I would expect it to be advertised between $18 and $22K. I would only pay $14 to $17K though depending on what's been done and more importantly what hasn't been done.

The cooling systems in the V8's can be a big headache - check the radiator, hoses, etc - you will get used to replacing those if you buy it.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Your definitely right there, the asking prices. That's why they sit there for weeks and weeks , as the asking price id often too high. V8s when i looked were definitely fetching less money than diesels.
There is a TD6 asking price by a dealer on car sales and ebay for around $20K it's been relisted many times. Asking price too high and high kms

Yep lot of car but a lot of things to go wrong at those kilometres. Have to have eyes open. I reckon from about 200k onwards is where most maintenance lies and if the vehicle had never had new radiator, alternator, etc etc that's when they go. Then there are the electrical gremlins that show with age. I think as long as you have $10k to $20k ready and willing to be spend on maintenance and failure if and when needed then such high K trucks can be a good purchase. You might hope and expect by those kilometres it has had a new auto. Cheers
