Trailer light flash when vehicle is parked

I posted a while back that I plugged in my LED trailer wiring plug and noticed a small dim flash of the left hand trailer indicator. (I can't locate the post)

Anyway Last night I hooked up the boat trailer and this morning a 3 am I noticed my left hand trailer indicator was emitting a flash, in the darkness it was quite visible, but I also noticed it flashed in synchro with the red light on the mirror for when the alarm is armed.

    Queer isn't it

On my 99 Disco my trailer tail lights flashed, you could not see it during the day, only at night, I did not recognise the frequency as you have.

The same trailer on my 02 Disco does not flash the tail lights,

There must be different gremlins hiding in different places???

Like I said, queer isn't it.

Could it be the computer pulsing the line to detect if a trailer is connected? It may then alter any stability control response.
I have followed a Range Rover towing a trailer fitted with LED lights. The indicators on the trailer were giving a very brief flash at a steady frequency. The flash was so brief, that incandescent bulbs probably would not illuminate.

Political correctness has a lot to answer now days, queer used to mean strange, when I was a young lad, when I was in a happy mood, my mood was described as gay, now in today's world these words all have different meanings, it's sad world we live in now.
Rangieman might be from the old school?

the compute can do hot and cold bulb checks to determine if the bulb has blown or not. you can get adapters from landrover with the appropriate resistors in them for LED trailer lights or....ignore it like it do hahah.

There is plenty of info on here about the wiring required etc
