Thread: TD6 Air suspension inactive, HDC inactive.

If the struts and air spring are original they will be likely near the end of their life. You could try jacking up that corner letting the hub drop to get a better look at the air spring when extended. It seems they are more likely to fail toward the bottom where it rolls over itself. You might find a hole. Alternatively a seal around the strut may have failed letting air escape.

Hello again.
Just replaced the r/h front strut, which was coming up as faulty, with a brand new unit.
The suspension on the right side is still down back and front.
My mechanic could not clear the faults
I dont have any lights on the height panel and manual up/down knob.
The steering wheel full lock to lock used to clear the faults...( when i had lights on the panel )
Is there a fuse for the air suspension ?
Any input would be greatly appreciated !

Have you done the battery disconnect trick to clear faults?

Your mechanic will need specialist diagnostic tools to use on the rangies.
if both front and rear are down, it would suggest the cross over valve that is mounted on the pump may be stuck or leaking. take the cover off the pump and see if you can hear any air. there are 3 main valves that control the suspension, one at the front to determine left and right, one at the rear for the same purpose and the cross over in the pump box itself.
you most likely will need the propper diagnostic tool to run a series of test or to control manually.

Steering angle sensor was the culprit for all the messages,when the full lock to full lock stopped clearing the faults......i should have realized.
Not a cheap fix, the whole steering column had to come out.
All done now and runs great.

I am in the process of doing exactly this on my truck. Sensor alone is about $600 I will attempt the repair myself as it doesn't seem to complex.
