Much bigger problems than the antenna...........

    Hi There,
I went in search of problems and found them, one rather large one actually, at some point there has been a fire in the general vicinity of the audio equipment. Right now the antenna is the least of my problems......

    Hi There,
There is a bit more to the story. I bought this as a bit of a project, bought unlicensed. The seller revealed some things, didn't reveal everything. Gave me a different reason that the vehicle was unregistered than being a repairable write off. I found this out a bit later on.

I have an engineer much like myself I suspect who is coming around on Monday afternoon to write a report of what has to be done to go over the pits to get re-registered. I have met up with a guy in Wangara who has an donor L322 with a clean interior who is going to sell what I need to me.

This isn't as bad as it sounds I did walk into this with my eyes partly open, I have grown to trust fellow LR owners, 99.9% tend to be genuine trust worthy people, it is the 0.1% who buy the occasional LR to make fast buck or don't understand what they have let themselves in for and bail out when they realise what is involved in repairs and cost. The gent in Wangara is a genuine LR owner who wants to help me out.

I did think this was just a radio fault, well it is, he did tell me the radio didn't work, but he didn't know why. I did see other warning signs that things were quite right however I was blined by the prospect of a fairly what I thought to be good project.

No doubt there will be a few instalments to follow.............

ALWAYS get a REVs or history check prior to purchasing vehicles.

    Hi Chaybra,
Hindsight is a wonderful thing being unregistered should have triggered that response but didn't unfortunately. I had been looking for a manageable project for quite a while this just seemed to fit the bill. The price looked right at the time an there was a lot of interest.
    Cheers Marty
