Today I removed road wheel and then the inner plastic wheel arch panel on the drivers side, about 15mins work, I reached up near the flexible air intake hose and grabbed the cable, pulled on it and the bonnet opened. the wind is picking up again now so this time I have a wooden garden stake propping the bonnet open just in case [bigwhistle]
Cheers, Mario
Providing the cable is not snapped at the latch end, you should be able to open the bonnet by pulling this cable.
Driver's side inner wheel arch plastic panel removed. 8mm and 10mm nuts.
