Steve I’m pretty sure most panels are alloy. I had a few small dents in the roof and bonnet removed this way, by a local bloke. He did a good job.
Due to the lack of a quality magnet in our household, can anyone tell me whether the rear quarter panels on an 08 l322 are aluminium or steel?
Got a couple of small dents (size of small hailstone) and wondering if aluminium whether they can be successfully repaired using paintless dent removal?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.![]()

Sorry it's taken a few days to respond to your posts but I've been dealing with some other 'pain' of a different nature ... albeit a knee!
I didn't even think about a fridge magnet so I resurrected one that works. You were right Pete ... most panels on the L322 are alloy (tested) except for the 2 rear quarter panels which are definitely steel.
So I'm going to have a crack at removing the small dents with a PDR kit from ebay. I'll let you know how it goes when I'm done.
Cheers
Steve
