    Strange ABS problem after rain

the L322 has been sitting in the driveway the last couple of days , it's been raining. Tonight I reverse out of the driveway and hear a loud thud noise, it appears the wheel has locked. It frees itself and I am able to drive. I use IIDtool and it says "left wheel sensor plausible" and the dash steering wheel symbol is lit. I cleared the codes and drive to my destination ok. On the return trip i get the wheels lock up and the 3 amigos light up this is as I am crossing an intersection, I pull up on the side of the road and have the Air suspension inactive and HDC warnings lightS up. I clear everything and drive home ok..
Water must have gotten into a sensor or something? Any clues?

Got in her today, and it seems like the front caliper is braking by itself on and off. Like traction control is engaging by itself. It's too wet to pull off senors and wheel.

    Battery is fine.
I posted on FFRR site and a response was rear brake shoes can swell and stick if they get soaked. I did replace the rear shoes months ago as they locked up once on me, it feels more like this issue is from the front,, but that could be just my imagination. When this wet weather stops I'll pull jack her up and suss it out.

Yesterday i checked all connections on sensors and as a precaution sprayed electrical contact cleaner on all.
No evidence of and moisture, I also removed the rear brake discs and checked the hand brake shoes. All appeared ok. I went to test drive and still had the problem. I gave up on it and later decided to have heather walk along the out side of vehicle and see if she could find the offending wheel, but it was all good again. Been driving it since and what ever caused it is gone. So go figure.

Well 1 year on and again in December ( coincidence,) it has been raining hard and i now have the same problem but on the front right hand side. Seems my beast does not like getting its feet wet. GRRRR
Happened to me in peak hour traffic. connected the iidtool and reset and drove home, every few kms it would come on so had iidtool connected and just pressed the clear faults button every time I stopped in traffic, got me home ok. I could have pulled the 2 ABS uses from the glove box fuse compartment, but in heavy rain I did not really want to get soaked

Replaced the right front ABS sensor today with the last avail Genuine sensor. LR Aust has no more stock and it is now an obsolete part. Reset everything and all is good. Had trouble re fitting the front wheel, I just don't have and strength since getting sick, so Heather and youngest son had to lift it on to the lugs for me. Don't know what I am going to do if one my own on the road. Probably have to sit on the side of the road and wait hours for road side assist.

I'm surprised. I had assumed the sensors would be a generic item, as all new vehicles run similar sensors.

I found the aftermarket sensors caused me problems when I installed them so went back to genuine.
Also the specific ones have grommets that neatly fit into various suspension arm points
