    L322 Sun roof removal/headlining replacement

I am most of the way through removal of the headliner on my L322 as it needs a new one.
The shop manual advises that I must remove the 15 torq screws securing headlining to to sun roof and remove the clamp plate.
Refer to section 76-3-34 & 76-64-15 of genuine Range Rover shop manual.
The screws are Phillips head and not torq screws not that this is an issue.
By opening the sun roof I can get access to some of these screws but not the ones at the rear of the clamp plate.
Has anyone done this job and found just how to get this clamp plate out?

    I FIGURED IT OUT!!
In the genuine manual under section 76-64-15 the user is advised to open the sunroof.
The next mention of the sunroof tells you to remove 15 torq screws securing sun roof to headlining.
Firstly they are not torq screws but phillips head (no real issue) but the main problem is that one cannot access several of them.
What you need to do that the manual does not tell you is to open the glass sunroof to tilt at rear position, then remove the tri-fold gaiters covering 3 torq screws on each side.

    Remove those screws.
Then you can lift the glass roof out which provides access to a further 4 torq screws that hold the sliding panel that is covered with headlining material.
Remove those and the cloth covered panel
Now all of those 15 screws they asked to remove are readily accessible.
All quite easy now that I know how.
The headlining panel is now at the upholster's getting new cloth.
I tried my best to get the very light cream that the car had originally but could not so it will be a very light beige.

    L322 clamp plate

A question from the uk. I have just recovered my headliner but it’s taken some time and I have forgotten where the clamp plate goes. I guess not on the headliner itself but within the mechanism. Your experience would be appreciated
    regards
