Pete I have a customer with this exact era v8 facelift vogue, 4.4 bmw and 5hp24. It has the early dash and no TR, too.

I have been driving it a bit lately and the damn thing is going on me again.
I got a “LOW COOLANT” indication and only had about 100ml of coolant. Put that in and not a problem, it has not dropped at all, so go figure.
But as soon as I get the reversing camera fixed, I will be selling it. Just can’t work out what it’s worth.
This sold pretty quick. Here’s a working example of the same car built late 2005 MY06, with 240,000km, asking $20k (a little high IMHO). So someone has potentially got at good deal on a much lower km car for $6500 (if the problems can be fixed).

Well there you go, I would say that the AJ 4.4 and 6hp26 in that facelift is a last minute 2006 build, I certainly haven't seen one in the flesh. I like it, a fantastic reliable engine with a tougher gearbox... I have a D3 customer with 388k on his, gearbag is due to be replaced but been totally good otherwise.
The AJ4.4 with 6hp26 has a great reputation. It’s odd JLR built these L322s without TR when the D3 with the same motor trans was being built in the same factory with TR. I suppose they also built the D3 without TR.
The head start that the L322 had on the D3/RRS meant that a lot of the wiring had to be re-done to change over to the TR system. My guess is that the RR team wanted to get more mileage out of their initial investment before chopping into it to use the Disco systems. Even when the change-over was done, little differences such as height sensor operation was different, giving me the idea that the RR team just had to keep doing things their way for as long as they could.

Re the 2008 vehicle, while it looks in good condition, the service history isn’t great. I think they should have started $10k lower at $15k.
No bids I notice at $25k.
