Are these headlights standard?
![]()
All, I’ve sold my Vogue to a fellow (Vic based) Landy man and will move onto a L405 SDV8 in all likelihood. Thanks for all the help over the last six years on this forum - i really loved the L322 and will miss it; I will of course check back in regularly, esp for Graemes wisdom as I have some fun with setting up the new toy....
cheers

Chris, was yours the white L322 with rear diff lock? I was very tempted by all the fruit.

Yes it was 👍

It was a nice vehicle and caused me to seriously question my decision to stay with my 2008 L322.
I went to Fraser this week. It was interesting comparing my older but very capable 2008 with my sisters 2015 D4 both with an open rear diff. The 2015 did one difficult bit with noticeable more ease and less fuss. Not that my L322 got into difficulties. But the difference was noticeable.
Your L322 with more up to date TR and rear locker would have been amazing to have.
Good luck with the transition to a L405. I look forward to your comparison reports.

Absolutely - can’t wait to get back to Fraser! Pity I can’t get 18’s on the new car - but 275/55/20 BFG should be good!

Chris,
BFG's will be pretty noisy. That's one of the reasons I went for the Nitto tyres. I have found that exhaust noise and road noise is slightly worse in the L405 than my D4 or my son's V8 D3. However, with his Maxxis tyres on the D3 there is more whine than the Nitto's on the L405. The BFG's on my D4 are more whiney again after they have travelled around 30,000km. I think they tune the L405 so that you get a nice bit of V8 rumble but not quite so nice with the V6!

Thanks Bob - have heard good things about the Nitto Terra Grapplers too so happy to look at those. Thanks for the tip.
