I don’t know how to turn it off, but you can change its background colour and brightness through the set up buttons next to the screen.
Yesterday afternoon, I get into the Range Rover and as it is raining, I turn the headlights on.
As I am driving, I notice there is no dash instrument illumination. So I watch as I passed some road signs, and they don’t light up either.
I turn the headlight switch off and on while I am driving and notice the headlights only work in the second position and not in the third position.
So now the headlight switch is playing up!
Yes I can hear you all having a chuckle!!!!!!!!!!
When I get home, I read through the manual and it mentions that the third position is the AUTO position, and that the lights only come on, automatically, in this position, if it is dark enough, but I thought there would be some form of indication on the dash.
Anyway, last night, I go for a drive to see if it works and yes, all is well.
When you stop laughing, and why shouldn’t you, my wife did, I have a question.
Is there anyway to turn the centre display screen off while driving.
It has been so long since I did any real night driving in my RR ( this should be obvious from above ) that I can not remember if there is a way to turn the screen off, as it is a distraction.
I had a quick look through the manual and could not find anything relating to this.
Any suggestions?

I think you should sell the car and move on. it's a nice feeling not to worry about lights buzzers and gauges when driving.
You have no idea of just how much I want to sell it.
But every time I fix one thing, something else breaks and/or fails.
I just went for a rare drive, and now I have a coolant leak.
I have already put it in once to have this repaired and they obviously failed to fix the problem.
