Can't complain about the RR this time, most of these issues are of my own doing, starting with not driving the RR, and not maintaining the cranking battery.
There are number of references to ignition key problems associated with low cranking battery voltage, but I have not come across a dead ignition key action.
Just a punt. Is your battery on the drivers side? I installed a new battery in a Land Cruiser. When I next went to open it the catch would release but one side of the bonnet would not open - it had welded to the positive terminal of the battery.Quote:

Are you in RACQ if so they can open or arrange tow to where bonnet can be opened just say cannot open bonnet and battery flatQuote:

Here is a photo of the bonnet just touching the base of the windscreen wiper.
If possible, can someone post up a photo of the same location on their L322, so I can get a better idea of how far back my bonnet is sitting.

IMHO, it's time for a bit of gentle muscle with a flat end of a pinch bar & some soft timber strip under the bonnet fold otherwise you'll still be here this time in 2020.
What could possibly go wrong?[smilebigeye]
Can you use one of those Cigarette lighter charger things on these ??
