Thanks - if it was the diesel the Trans is a known issue but the V8 has a better box, although not immune to issues, it is much better. Battery voltage is very much critical in these vehicles - if the battery is starting to fade the first symptoms are usually HDC inactive. Would pay to have the battery checked (load tested) to make sure it still has plenty of punch. If you replace it, make sure you get one that meets the minimum specs for the vehicle - it may have something smaller in it that what is recommended.

Thanks Homestar. Funnily enough all the faults were clear yesterday and it was driving perfectly. The battery is something I will definitely check as I mentioned earlier the radio isn't holding a channel when the is turned off so, for me anyway, that would seem a red flag for the battery. I am putting the issues down to the heavy rain and a few large puddles messing with the sensors although I will have to do some more looking into this as it can't be happening every time it rains!!
Again, thanks for your input, I new to this so all feedback is greatly appreciated.
