Has anyone here had any experience in replacing the coolant hose connection assembly at the rear of the TDV8 engine? I have a very slight leak from that area that pools at the rear of the engine block over several weeks and then dribbles down the side of the transmission. Looks like the plastic connection assembly has a very slight leak on the welded plastic seam. I thought I was going to find a slight leak in the thermostat area, but it just appears to be this connection assembly.
I've pulled off most of the things I need to access already, such as the wiring clips, LH heat shield and injector wiring. Haven't removed the intake manifold as I'm thinking I could potentially do this without removal of that. The number of hoses and clamps going onto the assembly though...
Item 11. Circled in red is what I'm talking about

It's the plastic assembly as part of the 8260 group. I've actually just bought the replacement part (8260) which includes a number of short hoses attached to it. I think I might be able to replace it without removing the entire intake. If not, I'll consider renewing the lot while I have it torn down.
I wonder if the EGRs and related cooling hoses were removed, could a couple of brass T-pieces replace that plastic part?
