i have done 1200km now, just drained the oil and changed the filter.
after pulling it down the second time, when i removed the sump plate, around the oil pick up was loads of rubbish, it had only done 2/3 hundred km from being cleaned before and the oil was filthy.
how it got any oil, i dont know, the gap between the oil pick up and the sump is about 2.5 mill, 1/10"
i made a plate 10mm thick to go between the sump plate and the sump, giving it about a 13mm space.
this time there was still some rubbish in the sump but it was not stacked up against the pickup and the oil is almost as clean as the day i put it in.
having the car on the hoist, its nice to see there is no oil leaks, it had oil every where before
