Just depends on the sort of risks you’re willing to take. I’ve said it before but there’s plenty on this forum that do illegal mods to their vehicles all the time and are happy to do so. Larger tyres, lifts, overloading is all common on many members vehicles here but for some reason it’s bullbars that seem to get the most scrutiny.
Personally I am happy enough to keep my vehicles legal - which has meant Engineering more than once to keep them that way, but again a personal choice on how you perceive and take on risk.
Yes I completely agree - it is risk management and you do what you want - BUT you have to know the facts before you can make the decisions. With this bar some have previously indicated it was compliant and as a result some have expressed interest where now we learn it is not compliant.
