L322 3.6 turbo hoses fitment time.

I need to have 2 new lower turbo hoses fitted to 08 3.6. (Have both complete LR hoses). Does any know how big/long a job that is likely to be? Trying to get it done ASAP to be able to head back to country.

I was lucky, in that it was only a crack one of the top hoses, so an easy fix and 5 minute job.
I think the mechanic looked more relieved that I was.
Nobody seemed to be able to give a time had it been the lower hoses.

I replaced the ones in my my wifes L322 3.6 TDV8 when I replaced the turbo. From memory it was all attacked from the bottom with the pans off there was no access from the front and having a hoist was super handy. Probably an hrs worth of work with a hoist and more if on the ground.

Sounds doable at least, but as you say, a hoist would make it more doable.
I expect that if you were doing the turbo, then there was lots of other things being removed at the same time.
If it is only a couple of hours, will be trying to get service place to change them next time I am in city.

The only thing you need to remove is the pan which would be removed anyway if you were doing an oil change. It is not the easiest of jobs but compared to replacing a turbo it was a welcomed distraction!!
