How many different six cylinder diesels were there?
I need to replace my water pump, so started watching YouTube tutorials. All the videos I've seen so far seem to be a different engine to mine. My engine has the oil cap to the front left (passenger side) of the engine, all I've seen so far have the oil cap on the right side and seem to have a different, or no plastic engine cover.
No, the videos are not mirror imaged.

Thanks fellows, according to Corey at SBL all Australian L322 Td6s were the M57, he also said it was a fairy straight forward job, removing the fan and shroud being the only awkward bit.

It's times like this, I wish still had an HR Holden.

Thinking about blanking the EGR while I'm in the area. Is this a good move, or will it throw faults or lift the EGT unacceptably ?

Blanking the EGR is fine on these and won’t cause any issues. You’ll find the inlet manifold is already chockers full of black concrete like crud though and it’s bloody hard to shift, but it will stop further build up.

Can’t recall to be honest - it was so long ago I did mine. Could be something in an old thread I had running on my L322 but that could take some finding as well. I do recall making a few posts here and there about work I did on it.
