    Replacing the AC compressor in L332

    So, I've been reliably informed that my AC compressor on my 2008 L322 4.2 SC V8 is dead. A new unit costs around $900 and I've been told that the labour required to remove the compressor will cost me a small fortune (two mechanics now - one a Land Rover expert). I've got a big shed and a few spanners, lots of time and I'm reasonably practical. Has anyone done the removal/replacement and is it something I can tackle myself? Also, any hints as to the best route to get it out?

    Usually with great difficulty through the wheel arch removing a lot of things for access but you should find a YouTube video of the task.
