Hi all, TB stuck in low range. Error messages from IIDTool:
Transmission interface bus fault 0x8D
Transfer box 0x5220 sensor short circuit to ground
Transfer case no faults recorded
Transmission failsafe program on dash message, won't even try to go to high range.
Error messages suggest an issue with the Tb motor potentiometer, I have it out but can't open the thing.
Any clues how to open it without destroying it?
Failing that I'm in outer west Melbourne, anybody got a TB motor they wish to part with? Will travel within reason.

I'm now convinced that some of these are just lightly glued, and others have been forever joined with kryptonite. It's putting up quite a fight.
The saga continues. Got the potentiometer apart, moved the wipers on the tracks because yes they had worn a hole in them, refitted and... no change. Sent it to a workshop, turns out the motor has a short so I'm now in need of a replacement. Anybody parting out an early L322 and has a shift motor for sale?
