Misfire diagnosis.
Hi everyone, my 2010 L322 5.0 naturally aspirated has developed a misfire on cylinder 6.
I have swapped the coils over and the miss is still on 6.
Then swapped the spark plugs and the miss is still on 6.
So I'm guessing the next logical step is investigating the injector on 6.
I'm new to these engines, so I'm not sure how to tackle the next step.
I've read the injectors can be a PITA to remove, so is there a way to test the injector without removal?
Or can you suggest my next move.
Thanks for your help!
Pete.
UPDATE, I cleared the codes, turned the engine off and on, gave it a good old Italian tune up running the engine a 3000rpm and it appears to be running smoothly at the moment.
It did show misfires on other cylinders for a moment, then it all cleared up and running well again.
So it may have been some rubbish in the fuel or a blocked injector, but it seems to be good at the moment.
