    Transmission cooler?

    IMG_20260320_170815.jpg

    Assuming that's what this is.
Mine has broken the plastic coolant inlet/outlet off. Can the plastic component be replaced, or does the cooler have to be replaced? Are they still available?

If you need to replace it, TRS-Adelaide would be the place to get one or if your near a BMW wreckers that would be a place to look.
LR wouldnt have it in stock now, too old.
    M57 is a BMW motor,very solid engine.

Found one from LR Direct. $300 + $50, to my door in 4-8 days.

I use LRDirect quite a bit. Shipping is always a bit exxy, but fast and reliable. My first order from them was a brand new D4 tow hitch for the D3. Ordered Thursday night and was on my doorstep Sunday morning. That is one big chunk of cast iron!

I have had an issue with them twice where one item from a large order was NLA and they didn't let me know until the rest of the order had shipped, but on the whole they've been excellent.

While I'm there, I want to replace both belts and all tension and ldler pullies. Sourced locally I've been quoted $650, excluding belts.
I find that a bit rich when the same from LRDirect is under $100 +freight.
Are the pullies generic? Can I obtain them from a bearing or engineering purveyor.

Landrover don't make that stuff. When it comes to belts and pulleys I tend to go with Dayco and SKF. Both manufacturers of decent kit. LRDirect often have a range of choices from the bottom of the barrel blue box through to genuine. I tend to err on the more expensive side and if it's a job I absolutely don't want to do twice then I go genuine. Sometimes even paying tice the price is worth it in the long run.
