Hue, I also have a grinding noise only on braking and only after a few kms, never when cold. Pads have been checked and are fine. Sound/feels like bearings- similar symptoms to yours?

Yes, similar symptoms to mine. I had the bearings changed and found no difference. Off the top of my head I'm not sure if it grinds when cold or not. I won't be with the vehicle now for a good few weeks either. I do know that it's more evident under brakes although it is still evident otherwise. It seems to be most evident while coasting in lower gears on smooth tar.

I just called the dealer to see if my 2010 was affected and the service rep said they were awaiting a list of VINs from JLR; and that as a 2010 ("earlier") car; my car might be one of the first. I need to wait for a letter from JLR apparently.
Can someone with access to Topix (?) do a lookup on VIN SALLMAMA33A113130 please. I am trying to find out what has been done or due as far as recall stuff is concerned.
