Hi Paul, go to the LR UK web site and you will find the installation instructions for all the add-ons.
I don’t have the exact web page address but if you have a problem finding it, just post a reply and I’ll go find it.
Hi Everyone
Just purchased some factory side steps which are used and came with no fitting instructions.
Do i need to remove the sill cover to access the fixing points ?
Cheers Paul

Hi Brummy,
I know this has been a few years since you asked these questions. I am thinking of steps for my L322 so would you be able to tell me about why you got some, and did they do the trick for you. Are there any adverse issues since you have fitted them?
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Factory Steps
Why:
* Provides a step for little people to get in and out.
* Provides a step to allow the cleaning of feet when on the beach / mud patch / wherever. Very civilised, all laughs aside they are very handy with kids.
* Provides protection from rocks / debris flying up the paint work from the front tyres. Just before the steps went on I spent an age cleaning tar off the doors after going through serval kms of fresh road works.
Downsides:
* Ground clearance - they are not sliders and I did bend the factory steps on the Disco2 about 12 years ago while hoping rocks up the northern end of Fraser Island. In saying that, they did straighten and they did protect the sill which probably would have coped it.
* Ground clearance - when the inline fuel pump failed I discovered there's not much room to climb under when off road height is not available (because it wouldn't start).
* Not sure if I mentioned ground clearance - One of the lads posted a cracker looking set of sliders not long ago that would be easy to extend a little to provide the advantages of steps as well.
Would I remove them - Only if a nice set of sliders were available. Unless you are serious offroading they are not an issue.
