    SUNROOF SITTING LOW AT REAR

    Hi Guys
the sunroof on my l322 is slightly lower at the rear when fully closed, about 5mm.
I dont have any leaks, but at speed it makes a fair bit of noise.
Is it adjustable, are the sunroof guides prone to wear.
Does the sunroof have to come out to change the guides,i do have a new set that i purchased in the UK.
Just wondered if it was a big job.
    Cheers Paul

    Check

    1. With sunroof closed, check alignment of glass to roof panel. The glass should be central in its aperture. Profile of sunroof to body:
      • front edge of sunroof = flush or up to 1.0 mm (0.040 in) lower
      • rear edge of sunroof = flush or up to 1.0 mm (0.040 in) higher
    Adjust

    1. Open sunroof blind.
    2. Operate switch to raise sunroof fully.
    3. Carefully release upper edges of gaiters from sunroof glass.
    4. Close sunroof.
    5. Loosen 6 Torx screws securing sunroof glass.
    6. Align glass to roof and tighten Torx screws to 6 Nm (4.4 lbf.ft).
    7. Operate switch to raise sunroof fully.
    8. Fit gaiters to sunroof glass.
    9. Close sunroof.
    10. Close sunroof blind.

Had a similar problem with 'Rupert' today, with the sunroof sitting 4mm high when closed. I found an alternative method of re-calibrating the roof on rangerover.net :

"To reset the system you need to tilt the roof and keep hold of the button for approximately 30 seconds until the roof motor clicks or moves slightly, then completely open the roof and then press the button once to close it"

I gave it a go and it worked a treat.

    Cheers

Mine sat low, followed the reset procedure and now working perfectly. Thanks Rin.
Can't help but wonder how much I would have been charged for this at the stealership.
