Here are some photo's of a custom made dual battery system we recently manufactured and installed in to the rear of a brand new Vogue.

I thought I would share some photo's of a custom dual battery system we have today fitted to a new Range Rover Sport. It is fitted with a Redarc BCDC battery management system and an all stainless tray designed to accept a full size deep cycle battery.

For the RRS are you thinking of selling this as a kit. A bit difficult for us to slip over from the east coast for an install. Any indication of likely costs, given that I fully understand that you get what you pay for.

It's probably worth noting that the SDV8 (well, my 2015 Vogue SE, at least) already has a second battery - a 70AH AGM behind the right hand rear panels. The vehicle is a so-called "cold climate" model and the battery is used to help the main battery when starting in low temps and/or when the main battery is down. Otherwise, it's unused (no stop/start, thank god).

I attached a cable to the battery (the terminals already have unused threaded posts), an inline 35A fuse to a 35A Anderson connector. The connector and length of wire are threaded through the vent hole when needed, otherwise pushed back into that space.

It ran a fridge during a recent trip without any complaints.

Very interesting - thanks Dave. Would be interesting to see if an isolator could be added so you could run fridge off that 70AH when ignition was off...? Might be a question for Tim at Traxide; Also, I assume the 12V accessory outlet on the L405 has moved to the other side of the boot space has it (odd) (its right where the 2nd battery is on the L322 so easy to rewire to 2nd battery for constant feed).

To the OP in post 2... Great idea zip tying a spare fuse to the inline fuse holder.
It's the little touches that make all the difference.

Isn't that battery for the stop/start function? I have read the people have disabled S/S on their cars by disconnecting the S/S battery. It's there to supply power to the various systems when the engine is off to protect the cranking battery from being drained.

EDIT: IGNORE What I said, you state no stop/start which I missed - lucky bugger.
