Thread: L405 SDV8 secondary turbo oil drain replacement

I thought I had read somewhere in AULRO that there was a warranty replacement / update for the secondary turbo oil drain pipe. Is anyone aware of this?

I've not heard of a warranty offer and even if there had been one, as the twin drain was introduced somewhere in MY14 production I couldn't envisage that LR would still be providing the fix under warranty.

Before you go down that path you might want to look at the simple vacuum pump modification described on fullfatrr.com that might resolve smoke issues. The modification bleeds some oil pressure provided for the pump shaft into the inlet side of the scavenger section to ensure that the suction side is lubricated sufficiently.
