I have no experience. But I did meet a guy once with a porsche cayenne. Same kind of problem. He said it was more around momentum than pressures. IE send it.![]()
Am heading to Kgari and was going to take the D3 but having issues with electrical stuff so not keen to take until fully sorted (locally) So looks like the Rangie 4.4 Diesel V8 2020 on 22's is going to hit the beach (low tide only).
Well versed in Sand driving for over 40 years and familiar with 16 inch and 18 inch rims but the 22 inch are a new game for me ..
I'm hoping I can get enough floatation with around 22 to 25 kpa to get me to Orchid - then air up again for inland tracks.
I have already been up to KGari in the rangie in September but just from Kingfisher through inland tracks to pile valley, Mackenzie, central stn and Eurong and didn't need to airdown at all and never a problem.
If any one has experience with 22's and low pressure limits can you let me know please?

I run my 265/50 R20's yes 20" at 20psi we've gotten through Ngkala rocks and up that soft bit no problem.
What profile are your 22's?
Far out, watch out for the tree roots on the inland track so that they don't bend your rims! I've seen bent rims there, even with 16's.
Cheers

I saw a late model Rangie dragged off the island not long ago with 3 flat tyres. They borrowed a spare off someone, but had two more.
Don't know exactly what happened, but it did have very large rims.
With the amount of rain there lately you will do it easy, sorry no ideas of pressures,as our vehicle runs 18s,as did our last one.
Cheers
