Maybe it is just the pics but it just doesn't look like it is going to have the departure angles and clearance for anyone interested in getting to to do what a D1,2,3 or 4 can do. Maybe it has more in the air suspension??

Not sure a 2.0 litre diesel (according to one report) will suffice.

Report said the same engine as in the current Discovery Sport.

The SD4 in SWMBOs evoque has virtually the same output as the 2.7TD6 in the D3/D4 (140Kw/420Nm). It's amazing what they can get out of a small engine. In saying that I would still want at least 6 cylinders to deliver it more smoothly.
    Cheers,

Power wise it'll probably be very capable and acceptable. We were given the option, so to speak, of waiting for one of these over the D4.
When you look at the 4 cyls that are being produced now, they create enough power to tow most things. Gearing will play a large function with the overall results of performance.

And if your looking for speed, think of Fords Mustang 2.3Lt engine which, from what I've been told, can do the same speeds etc, as its V8 counterpart. Not sure I could sit in a 4 Cyl Mustang though,,, some things just cant replace a V8.
