In that video it seems the rear right wheel goes from loaded to TC dancing and travels only the height of the tyre profile

SupporterRight at the beginning of that video you can see a brief dark shot which shows a lot of rear articulation. However, if you blink it seems to jump to almost level as he starts to drive.
I agree that the D5 is less ugly than the D4. I've never thought that the D4 was thing of great beauty, especially the front without a bull bar, just an immensely practical shape.

Full off-road height is +75mm then about another 40mm to super-extended above normal height, down 50mm to access height so at least 165mm for the selectable range plus a little more to the bump-stops and above super-extended.

I could understand him...he was very impressed by the Discos, even if they were prototypes. They tested two - a V6 petrol and a V6 diesel both 3 litres. I'm not sure where they tested them - looks too hilly for Holland!

Hahaha, thanks Willem. I kind of got that impression - nice to have it confirmed though. I think they are on one of the Land Rover courses in the UK.
