Also depends on mode selected - some cross link others don't.

No I did not know that
In that video it seems the rear right wheel goes from loaded to TC dancing and travels only the height of the tyre profile
By my calculations on what are they
    415x10R24
    That's 40mm of travel

Still reckon 90% plus will be ordered sans low range for the soccer run

It's good to hear they have lost weight over a D4 or 200 - my 130 loaded for a week away weighs less than a D4 sitting in the dealers yard

    Thanks Graeme
So by roughy estimate that's about 125mm of down travel
    Pretty good really
    Just looks non compliant

I guess though the way it makes those tracks look easy would point to good articulation as well as TC

Inmo it's less ugly than d3/4 but now it's a meh SUV

Right at the beginning of that video you can see a brief dark shot which shows a lot of rear articulation. However, if you blink it seems to jump to almost level as he starts to drive.

I agree that the D5 is less ugly than the D4. I've never thought that the D4 was thing of great beauty, especially the front without a bull bar, just an immensely practical shape.

Full off-road height is +75mm then about another 40mm to super-extended above normal height, down 50mm to access height so at least 165mm for the selectable range plus a little more to the bump-stops and above super-extended.

this article gives some good info plus some of the same footage I posted earlier:

New 2017 Land Rover Discovery driven

I like the flooded vehicle testing - if it truly is cabable of what it says then it is impressive.

It's going to fun watching the reviews once it's released.
    Cheers,

I could understand him...he was very impressed by the Discos, even if they were prototypes. They tested two - a V6 petrol and a V6 diesel both 3 litres. I'm not sure where they tested them - looks too hilly for Holland!

Hahaha, thanks Willem. I kind of got that impression - nice to have it confirmed though. I think they are on one of the Land Rover courses in the UK.
