The V6 HSE Lux sounds very nice. What options did you decide on?

I’ve now had my SD4 SE for about a month without any issues (Second owner with 5300 km and 8 months old).

My only real gripe is visibility on the passenger side when lane changing etc.

There is a complete blind spot from the C to D pillars caused by the 2nd row left head rest, I’ve almost been caught twice now. Given the chance I’d definitely opt for Blind Spot Monitoring.

    MY17 D5 SD4 SE (Sold)
MY19 D5 SD4 SE (with all the options I want)

I've got the HSE with blind spot monitoring but I keep the centre and LHS headrests folded down for that reason.

It is going to be Corris Grey with the black pack and with 20" black wheels, Adaptive LED lights, Drive Pro Pack, Capability Plus Pack, HUD, Advanced Tow Pack, TPMS, Load Space Rails, Black Roof Rails, it has more power than the current model and I believe 2 turbos, only went for the 5 seats as I very rarely use back seats in D2.

Now to figure out how to do oil changes if they pop up due to that oil dilution but intend to go for some road trips so should not be a problem and is the trans a sealed for life unit.

    D5 td6 hse

Sounds like you picked some great options, would definitely pick the capability pack if I bought another tomorrow. Just check with service department, I bought a service plan and had car in other day for adblue top up. The service advisor said that when I bought my car, because JLR hadn't advertised the extra servicing correctly that all dilution and scheduled services were covered for the life of the service plan (hse td6). Maybe enquire as my model is without tft and a few other updates, so may have been lucky with my model

I would think that they would have changed the small print on the oil diluation, do deal with this on various machines tell the operators let the machine do its cycle or it gets expensive replacing exhaust system

    Adaptive cruise

I’ve just bought my D5 and I was surprised how few D5’s are fitted with the Adaptive Cruise option. For me the lack of this feature was a deal breaker and had me exclude many available demo and stock cars.

I think many people just don’t know how good this feature is. I had it in a Toyota I bought 9 years ago, then made the mistake of buying a car without it. I regretted it ever since.

Now with Queue assist in the D5 it’s even better than what I used to have. Would never buy a car without it again.

I think the reason is its a 5k option which is outrageous but that's LR for you.

I have it on my D5 and find it very good.

That's interesting. Adaptive Cruise is about $3500 on the RRS I have just ordered..wonder it's so much more on D5.

Going to take time to learn to use the new gadgets, have been ready a owners manual in spare time which is not much with building a trailer, changing 2 trailers and boat back to nsw plates have to attack along list on the D2 to get it over the pits plus a small list on girl friends car before I take the last 2 to the garage.
