						Looking at buying a 2017 D5 HSE SD4 and am considering adding to the remaining 17 months new car warranty with an extended warranty. What brand policies have others used?
I have read through the one supplied via carsales.com.au and there is an exclusion term saying;
This worries me as many breakages could be seen as having some degree of wear & tear.failure arising from Normal Wear & Tear and the gradual reduction in operating performance of the Vehicle orpart
What experiences have you all had with claims on extended warranties?

						SubscriberFirst, perhaps check if there's still an official factory extended warranty - my 2104 D4 has the factory extended warranty although, oddly, it's provided by a third party.
When I took it in for its last service I pointed out that one of the lights in the door trim wasn't working. They actually refused to fix it until they'd confirmed with the warranty provider that it wasn't a consumable: no, malfunctioning LEDs aren't a consumable. Then they didn't have an LED in stock. Three days later I got my car back ...
