E-Diff to be replaced
For a while now I've had a bit of a 'clunk' from the drivetrain, noticeable when driving away. It feels and sounds a bit like driving over a cats eye in the road. I've worked out this happens when the e-dif disengages from 75% engaged to 25% and then from 25% to fully open.
The e-Diff engages when driving away at a slight incline. Combine this with a slight turn of the steering wheel to the left, the e-diff engages 75%. When now turning the steering wheel further, the e-Diff disengages as one wheel will be turning a more to take the turn. In this situation, when my e-diff disengages in 2 stages, I feel and hear this 'clunk'.
The dealer has done testing on the car and the outcome is that the rear diff is to be replaced. Anyone else had any e-diff issues?
