    Powered InnerTailgate

Anyone added the powered inner tailgate to a vehicle without it? Any tips or gotchas to be careful of?

Well I managed to get the hardware for the tailgate from a wrecker. The hardware is easy enough to install. Rear tailgate in place. Actuator support attached to seat bracket. Actuator not in place at this time so that I can manually put it up and down.

It is the electrics I am going to struggle with - more through knowing the parts needed than installation. I was really hoping that the appropriate plugs would be on the wiring harness - no such luck. I have 3 plugs behind my switch panel p. Grey for the light. Orange for the accessories socket and blue for the air suspension. I believe I need a green one for the powered tailgate switch.

I am unsure whether you can buy that bit of harness or whether it can be removed from the full harness of a wreck. I am also assuming that there will be a control module required as well. In other photos I have looked at I have seen a control module in that blank space and I can see the modules for sale on e-bay but not the harness. I am also assuming the car will need to be told that the module is now there.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
