How did you fit a drop-down tailgate to the D5? Do you mean the optional one that they had?

I have installed the drop down inner tailgate (sourced from wrecker). The tailgate itself is a very easy install. The electrical wiring is somewhat more difficult. at this time I am yet to find a wiring diagram To make up a harness or even to seeif it’s possible. I have the actuator to operate it but at this time have not installed that part. i just use it manually.

I cannot see how you can’t maintain your lane in that road, it’s not that bad!

FWIW,there has been a white D5 parked on the Pacific HWY,somewhere near the Woodburn turnoff, from my not so great memory for the last few weeks, maybe a month.

I suppose it has stopped forward(or reverse) progress....and is now unwanted.

This is comparing the wall-to-wall turning circle of a D4 with a kerb-to-kerb turning circle of a D5.

    The wall-to-wall for a D5 (2018 brochure) is 12.7m

    Which makes wall-to-wall 90cm larger compared to a D4. Kerb-to-kerb for a D4 is 11.45m (2011 brochure), 96cm difference with a D5.
