Thread: Aircon problem

Aircon issue Discovery 5, any suggestions please.
Cool air only lasts briefly when operating the air con. When shut off for 15-20mins it will resume cool air, but only for a brief period again. Has been tested, compressor ok and system is fully gassed with no leaks. Autolec has no further suggestions 🤨. Anyone had similar issues or suggestions. Thanks in advance before summer heat arrives.

If the gas is checked it’s a relatively common same problem on the D3 and D4 meaning a failed control valve on the compressor. You can replace the valve but given the extreme labour involved it’s better to put a new pump on and be safe you don’t have to do it again.
