In a way, it's now a proper 'Sport' version of the New Range Rover...

Unfortunately marketing of the Sport in Aust has been different to the UK and other markets.

As a general statement in the UK you could specify your engine and trim level separately however in Aust trim has generally be linked to the engine.

Eg Basic trim was fitted to the TDV6 (the lowest spec vehicle) then if you got the naturally aspirated petrol you got a higher level of trim (mid spec) and the highest spec vehicle was the V8 supercharged petrol.

It will be interesting to see whether this philosophy will continue with the new model or the link between engine and trim level will be weakened.

If the new Model RRS owners want to head off to the Range Rover section then there is to nothing stopping them. I would suspect most existing model RRS owners would want to stay here given the existing ties.

    People's thoughts?

    cheers,
