    Range Rover Sport tyres 2014

    Has anybody successfully fitted light truck rated all terrain tyres to the new Range Rover Sport, 20 inch rims? I'm told the BFG all terrains LT 285/55R20 tyres don't work on a 20 inch rim RR Vogue and set off error codes and would likely be the same on RR Sport.

    "Not yet" I think is the answer I'm afraid. I had to settle with 285/50/20's Cooper LTZ Zeon; They are better than stock - but I will be nursing them carefully off road. The price you pay it seems for buying "big braked" RR not Disco. Sigh.

    Thanks CSBrisie. All roads seem to be heading to the Cooper LTZ Zeon, they have cropped up a lot from many sources. Did you try the 275/55/20 for a slightly taller profile or do they not fit?

    Yes, they do fit. Cooper Discoverer AT I think? But, you need to modify the spare wheel well (or use that space for something else); and the drivers side rear wheel well (plastic shrouding) needs to be bent in (self tapper); I decided the 50 series were a good compromise for what I do - 90% on road - a big off road trip every roughly 12 months;

    Hi all,

    For the poverty pack 2014 RRS the standard wheel are 19" with 235/65R19 with Pirellis. At that size the only tyres available in the market are the Pirellis, nothing else. To go with 255/55R19 the field opens up a bit but they are still not terrifically robust. Also they have a lower profile and hence harder to have 'rim protection' and the speedo error, currently abt 105 indicated = 100 true, will be worse.

    Has anyone played with different tyres on the RRS 19" rims I wonder?

    Cheers, Simmo

    On my 2010 L320 (now gone in favour of an L322, same as Chris's in Brissie) I had a set of 19" Goodyear MTRs that worked well, from memory they were 255/50. No, come to think of it, they were 255/55.
