    ChromaFlare or Chrome Wrap?

    Hey everyone

I'm planning on buying a RRS SDV8 (As I do a LOT of highway driving). I took one for a test drive, and it was love at first sight (or in this case, first drive). I had played around on the car configurator online, and I saw the car came with a paint scheme called ChromaFlair. I wanted to see what ChromaFlair really looked like with my own eyes, but unfortunately there was one dealer/demo RR with chroma flair, but it was all the way in Victoria, and I live in NSW, so I wasn't exactly able to see it first hand. I really like the effect from ChromaFlair,, from what I've seen on images, but I am wondering if I can probably get the same from a chrome wrapping company?

    Thanks!

Aren't chrome look finishes illegal in Oz?

I just did a search and found this:

Finally got a reply from the RTA:

Sorry you are unable to paint any type of vehicle a chrome plate due to the safety issues arising from that type of colour due to its high reflective nature of the chrome plate which is a safety concern for the surrounding drivers. This would not be excepted in the ACT.

I trust this information is helpful and of assistance. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further enquiries.

so no highly reflective colours allowed.

It's a highly toned down chrome finish. It's got a slight reflection to it.

I ended up getting a satin pearl wrap on the sport. It looks just as nice, and the purple hue on the pearlescent effect gives it a chrome look without being too tacky. I got it done at Car wrapping, 3m vinyl, paint protection, carbon fibre in Sydney
