				To be effective the filter media needs to be fine. Which means eventually it clogs reducing flow and effectiveness. In a Mann  Hummel Provent 200, the filter membrane is to be replaced at 40,000 k. The Provent also has a well set up pressure relief valve. Mann and Hummel know diesel filtration. I suppose pressure relief could be built in, but unless the LR has a replaceable fine filter membrane it's hard to see how it could be particularly effective.
I can't see how any modern TD would not be assisted by a good quality catch can.
