I noticed that my new windscreen, while a heated one rather than non heated is significantly noisier in rain than the original one, the other downside is that the button to make the heater elements work is about $600.00......
On the upside the ones with the heater elements in the windscreen make them significantly more tolerant of stone chips and cracking the heated screen on my Defender is still the original and I have had it since 2016, SWMBO has replaced about 5 Jeep screens in that time.

Presumably you've checked that the wires were reconnected.

Mine didn't come with a heated screen from factory, in order to make the heater work I'd need a new switch panel.

My old D4 which is now owned by a son didn't have a heated screen but now does. My son sourced a used switch panel from the UK.
