Move it on Over - George Thorogood. D4 to SDV8

I am doing homework on the L494 SDV8 please. We are looking at selling my beloved D4 2011 SDV6 3.0 and moving onto a 2017 SDV8 (for daily drive + some 3.5T caravan trips). Some questions please.

    1. I believe the rear cabin needs the rear seat swabs to be removed to be leveled flat in the back?
    2. Does this come with Apple Play?
    3. Wheel/tyre combo - do they come in 18s or 19s, or are 20s the only option?
    4. Is a bull bar or nudge bar available?
    5. If not, how do people go mounting spotlights, aerials, etc?
    6. Are any mods required to tow a 3.5T van? Im thinking does it need a transmission cooler, Mitch Hitch, etc?
    7. Any specific red flags to look for? I will get it checked by my awesome independent but any filters before troubling them?

    Thanks in advance.

If the models stay the same from 2016.5 to 2017--
The SDV8 will be a HSE, and as such, have 21" wheels. With big red Bembo's that stop you going any smaller than 20's.
It is possible to mount spots on the front.. check in here for pics.. also check how they leave the rad clear..
It will tow the 3.5T van seemingly without effort, and at any speed you choose. I am still undecided about a second trans cooler even after monitoring the temps---
Mine had an oil leak in the cooler on top of the engine V, was an easy fix, just gaskets.
They use a lot of rear brakes,

I'm still not sure if the GAP Tool can access a 2017 model.. It would be VERY beneficial to read the faults before buying.

Good luck with the purchase. I've had mine for 4 years and it a great car to drive and tows my 22 foot van brilliantly.

Apple Play? - No. Contact Cambo on this site for the solution.

Bull Bar, Nudge Bar? - None available.

I have had some issues with oil leaks, mainly due to the poor design of the oil level sensor which sits in the sump. Ensure the modified loom has been fitted.

I hope Apple car play works out better for you than Android auto did for me....Total waste of money for us.

Android auto is crap compared to CarPlay

Different vehicle but I have enjoyed having Android Auto. Good for Google Maps, Spotify, Podcast Addict, offroad maps etc. Not sure how Apple compares from personal use although I have a mate with the same head unit and Apple Car Play and his user experience when he uses his looks the same as mine.

What are the generic advantages of Car Play over Android?

    Cheers
