    Fuse Diagram

    Hi,
I have a very early my2014 L494 RRS and need to get the fuse layout diagram for the fuse panel in the luggage compartment.

It is supposed to be on the back of the removable panel but there is nothing and no sign of anything. Looking at some blogs elsewhere there is supposed to be a folded up paper diagram slipped in under the fuse panel but nothing in my car.

I have looked online but all photos/diagrams appear to be of a completely different layout so no use. My panel has 2 rows of 15 micro fuses along the bottom at the right hand side.

    Graeme,

    Thanks for the posts.

Yes, the photo is the same as my board.

And the pdf file is the same as the info in my owner's manual thanks. But I was unable to relate the fuse values in these tables to the actual fuses in the panel. There was no obvious pattern.

What I need is a diagram which shows me which fuse on the board is F1, F2 etc.

The manual tells me it should be on the back of the carpeted covering panel. But it is not in my car.

And the reason for this is the lights on my trailer are not working and I have no power to the trailer plug so I was wanting to check the fuses. It is the first time I have hooked up this trailer.

It has LED lights and works fine on the 2010 Defender. And then when I was moving the trailer out into the paddock, my wife told me the lights were flicking on and off. So I will need to pursue that.

    Thanks

    Oldie

Are the number labels on the picture of the panel not correct - fuse 1 top right, fuse 2 below it etc?

    Thanks Graeme,

I did not associate the numbers on the photo with the fuse locations.

All is clear now and no wonder I did not pick the pattern. I was only looking along the horizontal rows.

    Thanks again.

    Postscript to this request.

The initial request for a fuse location diagram was to allow me to track down why my LED trailer lights were not working.
They work when trailer is on the Puma. I fitted the towbar to the RRS 4 years ago but had never needed to use it.
I was distracted by the blogs and the detail of load resisters so was not really surprised when I did not have any voltage on the 7 pin flat connector at the back of the car.
My initial thought was that those fancy computers did not like the LED lighting and shut the trailer module down. But I finally came to my senses and chased up a wiring diagram and saw there was nothing smart between the battery and the trailer socket.
So off with the plastic bit at the back to check out the wiring. Wires and plugs/connectors everywhere. The 7 pin flat connects to a socket which in turn connects to 2 plugs under the back. These 2 plugs had power so that was good. It turned out that the earth/white wire pin was not inserted all the way into the 4 pin connector and was only held in by the rubber grommet. This is the only pin used in this connector for a simple trailer hookup

A simple solution to 2 frustrating days.

But now the parking sensor is offended by the towball. Don't even need the trailer on for it to attract my attention when in reverse.

Technology. Love and hate it !!

The white round socket isn't needed at all for a simple trailer connection. If that socket is being used for earth then I'd swap the wire to use the earth in the plug for the black socket.

I had the same issue, looked everywhere for the fuse numberings on the luggage junction box and this saved my day. Number sequence is correct.
