    Oil Leaks

    Hello everyone,

I am a newbie to RRS. Got a second hand 2014 SE RRS (SDV6) and found couple of oil leaks and was wondering if there are any independent RRS mechanic in and around Wagga Wagga please? any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Got one leak coming from the crankshaft main seal bearing and the next one is carbon build up on the driver side turbocharger area. I've also got to do the timing belt replacement as well on my car and was looking for a reliable mechanic. If no options with independent RRS workshop I would have to drop it at the dealer service centre at Lavington (NSW).

    Thanks

None in Wagga that I know of.

I suggest that you don't go to the European vehicle workshop that diagnosed a TD5 with a leaking injector washer as terminal bottom end issues requiring a full rebuild.

A visit to a dealer with a new 2nd hand L494 is probably a good idea anyway.. check on recalls, faults etc..

The V6 is more commonly found in a D3/4.. maybe a look through that forum might give more help...

    Update on the oil leak

Hi guys, I am fortunate to have found a mechanic in Wagga Wagga ( Fox Mobile Mechanic - Wagga Wagga). He has been an amazing bloke and fixed the oil leak from the camshaft area and also changed the crankshaft main seal as the timing belt replacement was also required on my car. He has been very reasonable with his charge for the complete work. Any one looking for a reliable mechanic in this part of the world I would recommend this bloke.
