Wheel lock key for 2017 RR sport

    Hi all.

I have a 2017 RR Sport and need help with where I can buy a new lock nut key for the wheels.

I tried to take the wheel off and noticed that it wasn't coming off. Had a closer look and the insert has come loose from the outer housing of the key so I'm unable to take the wheel off. I tried calling Land rover spares and they said the lock nut key has been discontinued. This hasn't helped me at all.

I tried looking and I'm unable to find a place in Australia where I can but it from.

There is the letter B stamped on the back of the lock nut key and that's all it has.

Does anyone know where I can but one from or there is someone in the Illawarra I can use to take the 4 off and I'll replace them with a lock nut key which hasn't been discontinued?

    Thanks in advance.

Can you post a pic of the end of the lock nut?

Take them off and throw them away, replace with standard wheel nuts.

I can't take it off because the black insert is loose and spins in the metal key housing. 20231112_125117.jpg

I've never seen that style before. Is the black insert designed to spin. i.e., does one push the key on and then rotate it until it aligns and drops into place?

No. It's not designed to spin. The adhesive bonding it to the outer shell has given way. Stupid design.

I cleverly left my adapter on my wheel nut and drove away. Turned up at my friendly dealer who had a collection of adapters and were able to get the nuts off and replace them with 4 that I had sourced.
Most tyre places could probably get them off as well.
