    Qu re Trailer Plugs and wiring

    I have acquired a 2018 L494 with Hayman Reece tow bar fitted.
    It has a 7 pin flat plug but no brake controller fitted.
    I will fit a Tow Pro and have seen the threat about wiring to the plug under the dash for the Tow Pro.

    Note:
    (1) I presume the plug for the brake controller is wired from under the dash all the way back to the trailer plug sockets under the rear bumper?
    (2) Given (1) is true then the pic attached are my plugs and wiring at the rear.
    (3) Blue wire that not connected in foreground runs to pin 5 on the flat 7 pin socket - ie for trailer brakes. But clearly not connected to the car loom/sockets.

    Qu: Which plug and wire on the rear of the car (in attached pics) is the trailer brake supply wire from front of the car under dash - I presume it is the large BLUE one going to the 4pin plug at top of pic?

    Just need this confirmed before I start to wire in my controller.

    The L494 trailer socket schematic that I have which is for an earlier model shows the brake controller wire is 2.5mm2 blue and is the only blue wire to the trailer socket. The earlier version only has 1 supply socket, with the other wires such as the brake controller wire running direct from the brake controller socket above the brake pedals.
    Even the earlier socket is a 12-pin flat so maybe someone thought that their 7 pin plug wouldn't fit a 12-pin socket, which it indeed does.

    From memory the Hayman Reese supplied wiring loom is incomplete and may not have the correct wiring. I replaced it with a genuine loom which wasn’t very expensive from LR Direct.

    I fitted a redarc and had to swap the pins around in the plug. The blue wire is indeed the brake circuit and was all factory wired on mine.
